Association of United States Postal Lessors
The Association of United States Postal Lessors (AUSPL) is the largest association for postal lessors, currently serving more than 3,500 members nationwide. Since 1981, our nonprofit organization has helped the large and growing number of individuals and organizations that own Post Office™ Facilities better manage their business.
The Only Association Postal Lessors Will Ever Need
If you're looking for personalized service, look no further. Our members are eligible for a unique insurance program specifically designed for them. Additionally, members receive newsletters, referrals to competitive lending institutions and free comparables when they negotiate their postal leases on their Post Office™ Facility buildings. We also answer questions and provide information related to leases, maintenance issues and taxes.
Each year, members attend our spring conference where they interface with USPS® representatives, fellow lessors, as well as interact with national lenders and other vendors who have products specifically for them. The conference is held in resort-like destinations and begins with a networking reception. Activities usually include an exhibit hall, luncheon, general session and a chance to meet with USPS® personnel.
An Insurance Program Exclusively for Member Post Office™ Facility Owners
One of the exclusive privileges of membership is the AUSPL Insurance Program. The AUSPL Insurance Program is the only national program specializing in insuring post office properties from losses ranging from tornadoes and hurricanes to slip and fall lawsuits. It is the tremendous buying power of AUSPL that permits the AUSPL Insurance Program to insure more than 7,000 USPS® locations nationwide at rates that are easy on the pocket and usually much less than what members can obtain on their own.
The AUSPL has chosen Praetorian Insurance Company, is owned by the QBE Insurance Group, which is rated A- Excellent-Stable by A.M. Best, and A+ Stable by Standard and Poor, to insure its buildings. Praetorian is a US subsidiary of the Hannover Re Group with over US$15billion in assets. Praetorian has been the program carrier for the AUSPL since 1999 and provides excellent service for postal lessors. |
